Mini UPS FAQ
Will my router restart when the power goes out?
No. The Mini UPS sits inline between your power adapter and your router, so the router never sees an interruption. There is no reboot and no reconnection delay — an active video call keeps running.
How do I know if my router is compatible?
Check the output rating printed on your router's power adapter. If it reads 12V (or 9V for the Mini Pro and Max), you're compatible. If you're unsure, send us your router model on WhatsApp and we'll confirm before you buy.
How long does setup take?
About 30 seconds, with no tools and no configuration. Plug your existing router adapter into the Mini UPS input, connect the supplied DC cable from the Mini UPS output to your router, then switch it on.
Does it charge while my router is running?
Yes. Whenever mains power is available the Mini UPS charges itself while simultaneously powering your router, so it is always topped up before the next cut.
Why is my actual backup time different from the advertised hours?
Backup time depends on how much current your router draws. The quoted figures assume a typical single- or dual-band home router. A high-power gaming router, or a router plus a separate ONT on the same unit, will run for less time.
Can it power anything besides a router?
It works with most 12V devices in the same power range — ONTs, DSL modems, set-top boxes and small IoT hubs. It is not designed for laptops, monitors or anything requiring mains AC output; for those, look at our portable power stations.
Is it safe to leave plugged in permanently?
Yes — that is how it is designed to be used. Every unit includes overcharge protection, deep-discharge protection and thermal cut-off, so it can stay connected continuously.
What warranty do I get?
Every Solset Mini UPS is covered by a manufacturer warranty, handled directly by our team in Faridabad rather than a third-party service centre. Contact us with your order number to raise a claim.
